The following story is based on the Coding Commanders Story. If you are not familar with that I suggest reading it first.

The mighty Bugs did not gain supreme power without supreme riches. As they conquer planets they strip them of their profitable natural resources. These resources are sold to the highest bidder at set up trading towns.

Bug trading towns are super shopping complexes. Goods are transferred to and from all occupied territories. If you can't buy it at a Bug trading town, you can't buy it anywhere.

Earth has three main trading towns:

1) Blue Lagoon 2) Sunset Village 3) Dragon's Den

They are welcoming towns that offer the most exquisite accommodations, at a high cost. Standard and basic accommodations are also available.

The Bug invasion opened Earth's doors to an assortment of intelligent races.

Meanwhile, Commanders Coral and Candy were experiencing great success! Word of Coding Commanders spread throughout the planet. Some stories even left the planet. Coding Commanders' fame accomplished two things:

1) External Support
2) Labeled Bugs' #1 enemy

Coral and Candy wanted to keep up the momentum. They had already liberated several human settlements. It was time to up the ante.

"Next, we will hit a trade town!", the girls agreed. This was an ambitious goal, but "we are definitely ready", Commander Coral declared. "The closest trade town is Sunset Village, so Sunset Ahoy!" Commander Candy cheered! The girls high-fived and Mission Sunset officially begun.

Trade Towns are known for having superior security. When the Commanders busted through government headquarters, the Bug Lord (Lord Larve) was stunned! Struck with fright, Lord Larve declared, "We must have a fair fight!".

When two parties have a "lawful dispute", Bug law dictates it is handled via "fair fight".

What is a "Fair Fight"?

Please keep in mind this is an imperialistic intelligent bug race's ancient battle custom.

Step 1: The leader of each party steps forward to shake hands. (In this case Commander Candy and Lord Larvie)

Step 2: Each leader has one hour to recruit locals for their "Battle Party".

Step 3: Each leader selects a "Shot Caller". The Shot Caller remains at the front-line of battle.

Step 4: Each side's Battle Party remains behind a wall, hidden from the other side. Fighters are randomly selected, six at a time, to appear on the front-lines.

Step 5: Each side's Shot Caller selects three out of the six fighters to engage in battle. Three new randomly selected fighters will join the three troops who were not selected. As fighters die, the shot caller will replace them with awaiting troops. As fighters join battle, new randomly selected troops are added to the Shot Caller's selection.

Victory can come two ways:

1) Wipe out the opposing side's battle party.
2) The opposing side surrenders

What are the implications?

Coding Commanders has the Sunset Village's central government headquarters surrounded. They could reject the fair fight and easily take the town. As usually, this would be considered a treasonous act. The Bug will not easily surrender a Trading Town. Truly liberating the town would be a long treacherous war.

However, excepting a "fair fight" makes the dispute lawful. If Coding Commanders wins, Imperial Bug Law dictates that Sunset Village will belong to the humans. This would be the greatest victory of the war! Sunset Village would become the first lawful safe heaven for humanity.

"Game On!" Candy and Coral replied in unison.

Guess What?

You have been selected as humanity's Shot Caller. Choose Wisely! The fate of humanity lays in your hands.
